After having discovered the different guises of the absurd and sensed the precarious balance which can occur between tragedy and comedy, between idleness and nonsense, the Guido van der Werve monographic exhibition offers a poetic point of view on reality combined with evident existentialist and fatalistic overtones.

In her photographs, Kourtney Roy seems present in the world but absent from herself. The meaning of these incongruous postures, of these empty glances is elsewhere, out of sight, leaving us in the grip of a silent and hidden violence.

For these live episodes, inhabitants of Aubervilliers will open their doors to the public and become new protagonists of a story told in pieces inside their apartments. One apartment will turn into a labyrinth that leads to the neighbours living-room, another will become the board of a cluedo game that no one will ever end up playing, the third one will transform into a cafe-concert.

A partir d’une image trouvée dans un magazine, l’artiste a construit un atlas et un jardin d’intérieur. Ces coupes botaniques fourniront la base de notre dialogue.
