This anniversary exhibition is the occasion, “a posteriori”, to reunite those artists who have been invited since 2004 in a collective demonstration dedicated to their most recent work. The exhibition offers a landscape of works of different sensibilities through the prism of choices made in the last 10 years.

(French only) Le point de rencontre de ces artistes, pourtant de génération très différentes, est leur appropriation des formes géométriques. Cette exposition a pour objectif de montrer que les références à l’art concret sont encore très présentes dans la recherche contemporaine.

Nothing indicated that the two artists, the French Pierre Wemaëre (1913-2010), born in Comines in the North, and the Danish Asger Jorn (1914-1973) were going to meet. The exhibition shows the extraordinarily positive emulation and reciprocal contributions of both painters.

In his artistic practice, Christian Andersson identifies unstable movements in history, or at least the writing of it, and offers variations, new possibilities, new timelines. He casts the viewer as an archeologist of both future and past, struggling to separate low signal from high noise.

The main work in the exhibition “Endless Photographs” is a series of snapshots taken in the Normandy forest near where he lives, using one of the latest models of camera, but with no attention paid to lining up the shots, no adjustments, and using modern methods of production for printing and production.

In favouring ’the world as support’ and in his attempt at a synthesis of art and life, Jeff Geys (though he makes no claim to it) belongs in the tradition of Fluxus. Since 1958 he has been making a meticulous inventory of all his works, which he orders according to subject, genre, year and number.

Alberta Pane gallery presents Pravdoliub Ivanov and Ivan Moudov, two Bulgarian artists, who are amongst the most active on the international art scene. This new exhibition offers a relational matching of the common features of their work: the sociological view of society, politics, irony, provocation and the distortion of sense.

This exhibition evokes a theatre where women play all the possible roles from the direction through the action itself. The stage varies: the interior of a bourgeois villa, the rooms of an abandoned house where stories seep out of walls and furniture, or within an artist’s or a photographer’s studio.

“The exhibition Egos Trips unites artists with whom I have an affinity. Through video and performance, we play with our own images. Here no act is gratuitous, each of the characters is a reflection of the present world.” — Moussa Sarr, curator

Pastoral is the idea of a perfect world, where people integrate with nature in a symbiotic relationship. This documentary project explores the wastelands surrounding Moscow. It is here that one is able to see the interaction between humans and nature in an intense way.

Concrete and symbolic, figurative and abstract, the work of Lee Jin Woo is plural. The seeming simplicity is the result of a sophisticated exploitation of light, relief, matter, the “empty” and the “full”. From the purity of shapes, the economy of colors and means emanate a serenity, a slowness, an intensity… It is a work outside of time and space.

“A Moveable Feast” is a year-long series of solo presentations by each represented artist. Exploring the rules of what is defended and forbidden, feasts generate an unorthodox space for production. Each celebration leaves their own traces, a series of marks and objects whose use value is temporarily suspended and which transgress the routine of ordinary time.
