Des rosaces se mettent à fleurir sur la toile brute, les couleurs éclatent discrètement à la surface des tableaux, sans ostentation. Les losanges se superposent, se mèlent et vibrent à l’unisson dans ces compositions hautement symétriques.

In the late 1920s, Alexander Dorner, director of the Landesmuseum in Hanover, and El Lissitzky, an avant-garde Soviet artist, worked together to construct a special room for exhibiting modern art, known as the “Cabinet of the Abstracts”. Through the history of this “Cabinet”, this lecture will follow the development of ideas about art.
